Assistant Professor — The University of Texas at Dallas

I am an assistant professor in the Department of Computer Science at The University of Texas at Dallas. In my research, I focus on geometric algorithms (computational geometry and topology), and combinatorial optimization. I am particularly interested in applications of these topics to data analysis and graph algorithms.

Until recently, I was a postdoctoral associate at Duke University, and before then a postdoctoral fellow at the Institute for Computational and Experimental Research in Mathematics at Brown University participating in the ICERM semester program Network Science and Graph Algorithms. I graduated from the Department of Computer Science at the University of Illinois at Urbana/Champaign under the guidance of Jeff Erickson. My dissertation was Fast Algorithms for Surface Embedded Graphs via Homology.
