WindSTAR, the NSF Industry/University Cooperative Research Center for Wind Energy, Science, Technology and Research – will hold its 2020 winter meeting of the Industrial Advisory Board on Wednesday and Monday, February 3 & Tuesday, February 4, 2020 at the University of Texas at Dallas. Attendance is free but registration is required to participate in the meeting. The full meeting is for paying members of the WindSTAR Industry Advisory Board and special guests who are considering joining the Center.
To fully participate on Day 1, our special guests are required to sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement with WindSTAR.
Companies not participating in the full Day 1 meeting will have an opportunity to learn about WindSTAR purpose and on-going activities on the evening of Monday, February 3, 2020, during the open information and poster session. Participation in the information and poster session also requires registration by January 19, 2020.
All participants of the meeting will have an opportunity to learn about the progress made by the WindSTAR team in the following areas: composites and blade manufacturing, wind turbine foundation and blade monitoring, model predictions of wind turbine wake and power capture, innovative materials and construction methods for foundation and towers, yaw control to increase power production, and aeromechanical load control systems.
