Why did you decide to attend UT Dallas?
The scholarship money I received mad UT Dallas the easy choice from a financial standpoint and the caliber of education I would garner here made the decision even easier.

What do you like about UT Dallas?

UT Dallas has opportunities available for students here that they wouldn’t be able to find anywhere else because of our small size but vast resources.

List some clubs and organizations you are or have been involved in at UT Dallas.

NCAA DIII Men’s Cross Country, Alpha Epsilon Delta, UNICEF, Spanish Club

What has been your favorite/best experience at UT Dallas so far?

The American Southwest Conference Championship race was a fantastic experience where we finished sixth in our conference and just being able to run and compete for my school in general is incredible.

What did you learn about college life that you didn’t know before?

College comes with a lot of responsibility and it can be tough to find balance with everything that goes on in your life here.

What do you like to do to unwind after class?

I play volleyball with my friends at the Phase 8 court, hang out, play some video games, and train for UTD XC.

Why did you decide to become a First Year Leader (FYL)?

Becoming a FYL meant having the opportunity to help freshmen transition into, and succeed in college, and being able to be a mentor and role model for students to turn to.

Is there anything you wish you did during your freshman year that you didn’t?

I wish I would have gotten more involved on campus doing all the things I’m doing now and gotten a head start on it all, but the fact that I’m doing the things I enjoy now is the most important thing.

What advice do you have for the incoming freshman class?

Work hard, find out who you are, and enjoy the experience here.
