What has been your favorite/best experience at UT Dallas so far?

Quality time spent with roommates and friends.

What did you learn about college life that you didn’t know before?

College is SO different from High School; nobody cares what you wear. The only things that will matter are your abilities/contributions and your character. You begin to be less insecure, less vulnerable, and more confident when you realize that you are accepted because of who you are as a person rather than merely because of the externals.

What do you like to do to unwind after class?

Take a nap.

Why did you decide to become a First Year Leader (FYL)?

After being an OTM, I loved the idea of mentoring incoming Freshman through the first year.

Is there anything you wish you did during your freshman year that you didn’t?

No; I know that I made mistakes for sure, but I don’t ever look back and say, “Man, if only I had done this….”

What advice do you have for the incoming freshman class?

Know what you want to do in life; what is your overall purpose/goal? Don’t just live for the moment. Don’t let life just happen to you; you should make your life happen.
