He will present two sessions in the Galaxy Rooms and staff may attend one or both. Developing Critical Thinking in Ourselves and Others, begins at 9 a.m. Wicked Problems and Collaborative Solutions: Applying Design Thinking to Problem Solving in Student Affairs, will take place at 3 p.m. Also available for students: The Value of Engaged Students: Developing and Articulating the Skills Employers Want, Galaxy Rooms, noon.

Health & Wellness Initiatives

Counseling Center

  • Center for Students in Recovery group services for the week of April 11: All Recovery Meeting (8), 12-step (1), Nourish (4).

Health Center

  • The Student Health Center and Canyon Creek Dentistry are offering free dental screenings for currently enrolled students. Interested students should contact the center to schedule an appointment, 972-883-2747. Upcoming screenings will take place 9:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m. in SSB 2.102. Dates are April 27 and May 4 and 11.
  • A limited number of flu and COVID-19 vaccines are available to currently enrolled students. Appointments are scheduled via the Patient Portal.

  • Congratulations to Bruce August, Jr., who was awarded the 2022 UNT Higher Education Program Outstanding Alumni Award, which recognizes noteworthy contributions to the higher education profession or academic/professional understanding of higher education in Texas.
