The Fitness Program consists of the fitness center in which visitors to the Activity Center can choose from 39 pieces of cardio equipment, two areas of free weights and several plate-loaded machines to get the workout desired. For those looking for a new twist on their traditional workout, take one of our many group fitness classes or sign up for personal training.
The 31 in 31 Challenge
Get ready for our Homecoming 5K by participating in our 31 in 31 Challenge during the month of October.
The challenge: Try to reach 31 miles during the month of October. Track your progress throughout the month by filling out our form each week, or by logging your progress on our 31 in 31 Progress Tracker located on the Fitness Board in the Activity Center.
The goal: Get as close to, or more than, 31 miles as possible before October 30th and prizes could be yours! By the end of the month you'll be more than ready to run our 5K!
Piloxing Workshop Series
Ever wanted to try Piloxing? Now's your chance! Join the UTD Rec Sports Fitness crew for this awesome and free workshop series. Elements of dance, Pilates, and boxing have been crafted together to create an
interdisciplinary cardio fusion exercise program called Piloxing.
Popular in over 80 countries, this workout will make you sweat!
- Burn up to 1200 calories per hour.
- Improve cardiovascular ability.
- Strengthen and lengthen muscles.
- Improve balance and posture.

Fall Into Fitness
5 weeks, 20 classes from Aug. 29 - Oct. 2. The goal is for each participant to attend as close to 20 Group X classes as possible. All you need is a Class Tracker Card which can be picked up at the AC, RCW or any Group X class. The more classes you attend, the better the prize!
