UT Dallas VPN services allow users to remotely connect to the campus network in order to access on-premise resources. In order to utilize VPN services, you must first be enrolled for NetIDplus.
Being on-campus or connected to the UT Dallas VPN is required for some resources, although many users will not need the VPN to work remotely. Below is a list of frequently used UT Dallas resources divided by when you would require VPN service.

- UT Dallas Email
- Most Library Resources
- OnBase Web Client
- Departmental Shared Drives
- Home Drives (excluding OneDrive)
- OnBase Unity Client
- SSH (excluding PubSSH)
- Remote Desktop
- Editing UT Dallas Web Pages (CMS)
Note: Effective July 15, 2020, the Cisco AnyConnect VPN will no longer allow new connections. All users should use the new GlobalProtect VPN as documented below.
