Getting it to Us

Editing Process

  • Submissions are subject to a rigorous editing and selection process. Final decisions on content and story structure are decided by the News Center managing editor and the Office of Communications.

  • Stories and photos must be submitted at least five working days before the requested publication date. We cannot guarantee publication on a certain date but will consider requests.

Web Posting

  • Items usually appear on our home page for one to three days before being replaced by newer items. However, news stories can be read at any time in our Archive. They are searchable, and their content regularly appears in Google news.
