The University of Texas at Dallas will return to normal operations Friday, March 6. All classes, activities and services will follow regular schedules.

Employees and students are reminded that per University guidelines, they are expected to exercise good personal judgment regarding their ability to travel safely to campus when inclement weather is in the area, and are not expected to place travel for work or class attendance above considerations for individual health and safety.

The University of Texas at Dallas is closed Thursday, March 5, 2015, due to inclement weather. Classes and events are canceled throughout the day and evening.

The McDermott Library will be closed Thursday. It is scheduled to open at 8 a.m. Friday.

Comet Cruiser (883 DART buses) will run from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday, with service every 30 minutes. For updates, follow @UTDCometCruiser on Twitter or sign up for E-Mail Alerts.

Level 5 of both parking garages is closed. All other levels remain open for use. No vehicles can leave level 5 of either structure until the ramps are safe and clear of ice. For updates, follow @UTDallasParking on Twitter or sign up for E-Mail Alerts.

Comet Cabs (on-campus golf cart shuttles) will not be running today. If the University opens as usual Friday, service will begin at 7:30 a.m. For updates, follow @UTDCometCab on Twitter.

Dining Hall West will be open from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. for brunch and from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. for dinner Thursday. Papa John’s and the convenience store will be open from 6 to 11 p.m. All other dining locations are closed Thursday.

The Student Union Dining Hall will be closed Thursday and will reopen at 11 a.m. Friday.

The Student Union will be open at 10 a.m. Thursday.

Recreation Center West will open from noon to 8 p.m. Thursday. The Activity Center is closed.

Due to inclement weather, The University of Texas at Dallas has canceled classes and activities, including the ATEC Distinguished Lecture, that had been scheduled to begin at or after 4 p.m. Wednesday, March 4. Normal business operations will continue through 4 p.m.

Classes and activities will resume at noon on Thursday, March 5. Only essential employees are expected to report before noon Thursday, per discussions with their supervisors.
