Welcome Week

Monday, Aug. 25: The Comet Beach Luau will feature Hawaiian food and hula dancers from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Phase 8 Pool.

Like a party waiting to happen, Welcome Week 2014 will have enough food, games and music to make every Comet at UT Dallas excited about the new school year.

Highlights for the two-week bash include the Cometville Carnival on the Mall, Rec ’n’ Wild water games at the softball fields, a talent show, silent disco and a dive-in movie at an on-campus pool.

And don’t forget the food — from barbecue and fajitas to cupcakes and snow cones.

“With two full weeks of activities planned, Welcome Week will give new and returning students the opportunity to experience plenty of Comet spirit and start the year off with excitement,” said Kecia Baker, assistant dean of students.
