Data Systems To Be Offline for Planned Maintenance
The University’s data systems are scheduled to be offline for maintenance between 5 p.m., Friday, May 18, and 8 a.m., Monday, May 21. During this time, student, employee and business data will be unavailable.
Oracle PeopleSoft, the vendor for UT Dallas’ student and business systems, requires organizations running its systems to install periodic updates. The update package being implemented focuses on the University’s finance (FMS) and human resources (HCM) systems.
The project team has been testing the potential upgrades offline for several months to minimize potential conflicts. During the outage, project team members will work with the Arlington Regional Data Center (ARDC) staff to integrate the updates, and the team will conduct further testing before the updated systems are made available to campus. The team will contact those affected by email with any unresolved issues as soon as system performance is assessed.
If there is any change in the upgrade schedule, the University will notify the campus by email and through updates to the Information Resources downtime wiki. If users discover any post-outage issues, they are asked to report them to the Help Desk at 972-883-2911 or via email.
