The University of Texas at Dallas (UTD) will present the Cuarteto de Guitarras de San Pedro classical guitar quartet in concert on Friday, Nov. 8, at 8 p.m. in the Jonsson Performance Hall on campus. In addition, the quartet will present a master class on Thursday, Nov.7, at 7 p.m., also in the Jonsson Performance Hall.

Tickets for the concert are $15 for the general public, $10 for students of other universities, $5 for children under 18 and UTD faculty and staff and free for UTD students. The quartet consists of Oscar Arévalo, Arturo Guajardo, Pepe Guerrero and Gilberto Manazanares, four young guitarists from Nuevo Leon, Mexico, who have distinguished themselves with their musical and technical capacities, their professionalism and their passion for chamber music.

This performance is supported in part by the generous contributions of CONARTE of Monterrey. CONARTE is a public organization in Leon that supports the cultural development of the region through a democratic and participatory program that encourages artistic expression and increases cultural values. CONARTE is also in charge of formulating and coordinating relationships with the federation, the states, as well as public institutions.

Tickets are on sale Tuesdays to Fridays from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. in the Art & Performance Office in the Visual Arts Building on the UTD campus and at the door of each event one hour prior to show time.
