The University of Texas at Dallas (UTD) will present “New Editions,” an exhibition of artwork by UTD faculty artists, Oct. 11 to Nov. 19 in the Main Gallery of UTD’s Visual Arts Building on campus. A reception will be held the night of the opening from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m.

Among the artists featured will be Betsy Belcher, Chris Kysor, Keitha Lowrence, Michael Odom, John Pomara, Martin Menocal, Greg Metz, Dean Terry and Marilyn Waligore.

UTD has been growing at rapid pace, and, with the introduction of new courses, faculty and entire programs, such as the Institute for Interactive Arts & Engineering, some extraordinary artists have come to teach at the university, said School of Arts & Humanities Associate Dean Kathryn Evans.

Exhibition Curator and Faculty Member Greg Metz added, “A decade has past since the last University of Texas at Dallas faculty showing, and, with its many new members, this exhibition promises to be a ‘Whitman’s Sampler’ of mediums and styles, satiating the taste buds from the sour to the sublime.”

All UTD art exhibitions are free and open to the public. The Visual Arts Building is open Mondays to Fridays from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. and on Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. The building is closed on Sundays.
