Members of the noted chamber music ensemble the Clavier Trio – scheduled to perform next year at Carnegie Hall – will become artists in residence at The University of Texas at Dallas for the 2001-2002 arts season.
The trio – violinist Arkady Fomin, pianist Daredjan Kakouberi, and cellist Eugene Osadchy – will perform two concerts on the UTD campus this season, including their upcoming Carnegie Hall Program on Oct. 28 and “Schubert and Café Music” on April 22, 2002.
The trio also will present the Young Artist Series, spotlighting award-winning violinist Chloe Trevor in concert on Nov. 18 and Young Artists in Recital on April 14, 2002, featuring young musicians from the New Conservatory of Dallas, where Fomin acts as artistic director. Fomin also will be teaching the new UTD String Ensemble this fall.
In addition to the residency, member Daredjan “Baya” Kakouberi will present a solo piano recital on Sept. 7 featuring works by Haydn, Schumann, Rachmaninoff, Scriabin and Liszt and will also act as accompanist for the Young Artist Series.
