U. T. Dallas Student Art To Be Exhibited
RICHARDSON, Texas (April 10, 2003) - The University of Texas at Dallas (UTD) will present a juried exhibition featuring the best work from students enrolled in visual arts courses during the current academic year as part of the Spring Arts Festival on campus April 25 and 26. Anne Allen, director of the Arlington Museum of Art (AMA), a non-collecting museum that specializes in showcasing contemporary Texas art, will serve as juror for the special exhibition. A reception and award ceremony will be held in connection with the exhibition in the Visual Arts Building's Main Gallery on Friday, April 25, from 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. The reception will feature the presentation of more than $1,000 in awards, from on-campus sponsors including Dennis M. Kratz, dean of the School of Arts and Humanities, and community businesses such as Asel Art Supply, Film Depot, Expert Imaging and Warehouse Photographic.
