Drs. Dumas, Holmes Part of Panel Discussion On
‘When Technology, Evil and Incompetence Collide’

Program to Air at 1 p.m. & 11 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 23 on KERA2-TV

Two faculty members from UTD’s School of Social Sciences, Dr. Lloyd “Jeff” Dumas and Dr. Jennifer Holmes, will participate in a panel discussion on the subject of “When Technology, Evil and Incompetence Collide” on the television talk show “The McCuistion Program.”

The program will be aired at 1 p.m. and again at 11 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 23, on North Texas public television station KERA2 Channel 2.

Dumas and Holmes will be joined on the panel by the chairman of emergency medicine at U.T. Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas and the principal nuclear officer of TXU Electric.

Host Dennis McCuistion will lead the discussion about how the United States’ advanced technology makes it more susceptible to devastating accidents and acts of terrorism, and what can be done to minimize such risks.
