The  Clavier Trio will perform “Café Music” by American composer Paul Schoenfield, as well as works by Joseph Haydn and Johannes Brahms, in a concert Friday, Oct. 14, at 8 p.m. in the Jonsson Performance Hall.

Clavier Trio - UT Dallas

The Clavier Trio is the ensemble in residence at UT Dallas.

The Clavier Trio is the current ensemble in residence at the University.

Its members include cellist Jesús Castro-Balbi, pianist David Korevaar and Dallas Symphony Orchestra violinist Arkady Fomin.

The Clavier Trio formed at the Music in the Mountains Festival in Durango, Colo., in 1997 and performed in the inaugural Dallas Symphony Orchestra Chamber Music Series at the Nasher Sculpture Center.

Fomin is currently an artist in residence and orchestra director at UT Dallas and is a recipient of the Cowlishaw Award for artistic achievement.

The Trio has performed annually at the Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall since 2002, and has appeared at the celebrated Bargemusic in New York.
