The Student Union Activities and Advisory Board produced a video promoting the homecoming dance, dubbed the Green, Orange and White Ball.

Wednesday kicks off a “Whoosh Around the World” homecoming celebration that will feature a parade, pep rally, back-to-back Comets basketball games and more.

The four days of festivities invite students to decorate their cars, make their own mums and dress to the nines for the homecoming dance. Giveaways throughout the week will include backpacks, T-shirts, headbands, car flags and pennants.

For returning alumni, a special breakfast Saturday morning will include a talk by UT Dallas President David E. Daniel.  Deans from the University’s seven schools will attend.  The event is free for alumni, but registration is required

The basketball game schedule begins at 1 p.m. Saturday in the Activity Center, featuring the Comets men’s and women’s teams competing against Schreiner University.  The games are free for current students.  Tickets are $5 for alumni, $3 for non-UT Dallas students, and free for children under six.  Tickets may be purchased at the games.

Homecoming will conclude with the Green, Orange and White Ball from 8 to 12 Saturday night in the Student Union Galaxy Rooms.  Attendees are encouraged to wear all white to the dance, and the event will whisk and whoosh participants around the world in exotic themed rooms.
