The Department of Mathematical Sciences at The University of Texas at Dallas provides an extensive range of graduate courses and research in mathematics and statistics. It offers a broad range of training in new and emerging applications.
The Mathematical Sciences program offers graduate study with emphasis in these six general areas:
- actuarial science
- applied mathematics
- engineering mathematics
Graduates in the program are prepared not only for careers in these areas, but also in the numerous other fields that routinely apply mathematics and statistics. Rather than offer separate graduate programs in each of these areas, UT Dallas offers a single program in the Mathematical Sciences that affords flexibility in planning a program that best suits your individual needs and interests. MS degrees are offered in all of the six mentioned areas and PhD degrees are offered in applied mathematics and statistics.
