60-Day Expense Reimbursement Period Takes Effect Jan. 1
The Procurement Management Office will institute a 60-day reimbursement requirement for submitting business expenses effective Jan. 1. Affected expenses include both travel and non-travel items.

Reimbursement documentation must be submitted within 60 calendar days after the expenses have been incurred or the reimbursement will be subject to federal, state, FICA and Medicare taxes. The amount will be withheld from the employee’s paycheck to cover the tax liabilities. More information is available at 972-883-2300 or [email protected].

Empowerment is the Watchword at Professional Development Fair

Inclement Weather, Emergency Closing Procedures Updated
The UT Dallas Trainer Alliance will present its second annual Professional Development Fair from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 2, in the Founders Building second-floor atrium. Representatives of 16 campus departments will be on hand to connect employees with the training that is available from these groups.

Participants will include the offices of Institutional Compliance, Title IX, Information Resources, Information Security, Registrar, Emergency Management, Budget and Finance, Procurement Management, Facilities Management and Human Resources; as well as the Veteran Services Center, Police Department, Multicultural Center, Galerstein Women’s Center, University Toastmasters of Dallas and eLearning.

Human Resources and eLearning are the sponsors. There will be games, prizes and giveaways.

State Employee Campaign Raises Nearly $110,000 for Charities
UT Dallas faculty and staff raised nearly $110,000 for local, national and international nonprofit organizations in this year's State Employee Charitable Campaign. More than $42,000 of the total will go to UT Dallas' Academic Bridge Program and the Callier Center for Communication Disorders. A total of 213 faculty and staff members made gifts in this year’s campaign.
