FAQ Start of Term
Did my financial aid disburse?
Check your Bursar’s Office EZPay account to view your financial aid disbursement activity.
It’s the payment due date. I applied for aid/have a scholarship. Will my classes be dropped?
Your payment deadline is extended if you have on your financial aid awards page a:
- scholarship or estimated scholarship for partial tuition or cost of attendance,
- exemption or anticipated exemption for partial tuition or cost of attendance, or
- waiver or anticipated waiver.
If you have a university scholarship, exemption, or award that covers your entire tuition, then your account will be sheltered beyond Census Day. You should pay any other charges that may appear on your account, such as housing, meal plan, and insurance fees. Questions about departmental scholarships should be addressed to your department.
My aid/grant/loan didn’t disburse. Why?
There are a variety of reasons why your funds may not have disbursed.
- Check your “Tasks” tile in Orion Student Center. There may be a”To Do” item we are missing from you or a related “Hold”. See instructions on how to check your status.
- Compare the hours you are enrolled in to the hours for which you were awarded aid. If those don’t match, your aid won’t disburse. You may submit an online hours adjustment form to us so we can make the adjustments necessary and disburse your financial aid. See more information on enrollment status.
- You may be on financial aid suspension for not meeting Satisfactory Academic Progress. In this case, an email notification will be sent to you before the beginning of classes.
How much is my refund?
Check your student account balance in EZPay or your Orion Self-Service. If your financial aid has disbursed, subtract that from your charges. If a credit results, that money will be refunded to you by the Bursar Office within 3 to 5 business days.
