Deadline to Enroll for Fiscal 2014-15 Benefits is Thursday, July 31

The University’s annual benefits enrollment period ends at midnight Thursday, July 31. Eligible employees who want to make changes to their insurance coverage or participate in UT Flex must sign up before the deadline. Log on to My UT Benefits using the PIN sent with your UT System Coverage Option Letter or use your NetID and password via the Single Sign On option.

In most cases, your selections for the 2014-15 plan year will take effect Sept. 1, 2014, and will be reflected on your Oct. 1 paycheck for your review. Read more

Faculty and Staff Invited to Welcome Freshmen at Convocation

Freshmen and transfer students receive a formal welcome to UT Dallas at University Convocation.
The Office of Undergraduate Education invites UT Dallas faculty and staff members to University Convocation, the official welcome for all incoming freshmen and transfer students.

This year’s event will be at 4 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 24, in the Activity Center Main Gym. Faculty and staff members may participate in the processional, with faculty wearing formal regalia and staff in business casual attire.

The convocation keynote speaker will be William Stoudt, executive director of Youth Rebuilding New Orleans, a nonprofit group he helped form in high school after Hurricane Katrina in 2005. Read more

Raffle to Support Staff Council Scholarships

Staff Council is selling raffle tickets for the chance to win a purple parking permit or one of two $100 Dining Dollars cards, as part of this year’s staff scholarship fundraiser.

The tickets are on sale through Aug. 31 for $10 each. They can be purchased by credit card via the Staff Council Marketplace, or by cash or check from the following members of the council’s Fund Raising Committee: Nick McCormick, Letitia Andrews, DeAnn Hegi, Jay Jascott, Jason Carter, Becky Wiser, Vicente Torres or Melissa Wyder. Comet Cruiser Gets Rolling Early on Fall Schedule
