Get a NOAA Weather Radio for Your Department

A NOAA Weather Radio (NWR) is a nationwide network of radio stations broadcasting continuous weather information directly from the National Weather Service office. NWR broadcasts official Weather Service warnings, watches, forecasts and other hazard information 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. A NWR is a great resource to maintain situational awareness during severe weather.
UT Dallas’ Office of Emergency Management has NOAA Weather Radios for purchase for departments across campus. This weather radio is a Midland WR120 which features S.A.M.E. localized programming and alerts you to over 60 kinds of weather hazards and emergencies.
