Mike Brodie BS’76

An industry leader who continues to serve the community and his alma mater.

Brodie’s professional achievements have been recognized with a number of awards including the National Association of Realtors Distinguished Service Award and the Collin County Association of Realtors Lifetime Achievement Award. He was appointed by George W. Bush, then the governor of Texas, to the Texas Real Estate Commission, serving as chair for part of his seven-year term. Brodie is also an active civic volunteer, working with organizations like the Lone Star Chapter of Big Brothers Big Sisters, the Greater Dallas United Way, Emily’s Place and the Plano Chamber of Commerce.

Mike Brodie BS’76 is a realty industry leader with over 50 years of experience. He currently works at Keller Williams Realty, a Plano-based business which he opened with and his partners in 1997. Since the company’s inception, Brodie has served as broker/owner, expanding his duties to include operating principal in 2013. He also holds the operating principal role in the Maryland/D.C. region.

As a graduate and neighbor of UT Dallas, the University has influenced my life for a number of years. Now, it is time for me to give back to the University that did so much for me.

Mike Brodie BS’76 received the Distinguished Alumni Award at the 2017 UT Dallas Awards Gala.

Brodie majored in finance at The University of Texas at Dallas. Since graduating, he has become a vital community leader for the University and has served as chair of the UT Dallas Executive Board since 2017.

For his service to the University and in honor of his many personal and professional accomplishments, Brodie was named a UT Dallas Distinguished Alumni Award recipient in 2017.
