The Edward M. Ackerman Leadership Award will be presented to an outstanding individual or group who has demonstrated exceptional leadership and commitment to promoting the education and increased awareness of the Holocaust and related human rights issues. This leadership inspires or empowers others to become involved and engaged in ways that echo the mission of the Ackerman Center for Holocaust Studies: “Teaching the Past, Changing the Future.”
About the Ackerman Center for Holocaust Studies
For over 30 years, the Ackerman Center for Holocaust Studies at The University of Texas at Dallas has served the students of UT Dallas, the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex and the nation, as well as global communities, by teaching the history and the legacy of the Holocaust. By educating the current generation, we are shaping the future.
What the Funds Will be Used For
The Ackerman Center Leadership Center Dinner will support the Ackerman Center Endowment that funds the year-round activities of the center including graduate students research and public outreach activities.
