Create an Endowment

There are many endowment opportunities and funding levels available. Choosing what your endowed gift will support is simply a matter of selecting a program that matches your interests.

You may take up to five years to fund an endowment and, once it is officially established, you or anyone else may continue to add to its principal at any time. Moreover, by selecting the title of your endowment, you can forever link your name, or that of a family member, friend, or organization, to its critical purpose.

Various types of endowments are listed below; however, endowments can be established to support purposes that may fall outside of these general categories:

Program Support
Endowments for specific programs or clinical activities provide the critical support necessary to ensure that these life-changing services are available to patients and families for years to come. The minimum gift level is $10,000.

Student Support
Student Scholarships and Fellowships enable UT Dallas to attract and recognize the best undergraduate and graduate students regardless of their financial circumstances. Your assistance allows students to concentrate on their coursework while also participating more fully in extracurricular programs that will enhance their personal development. The minimum gift level is $25,000.

Faculty Support
Endowed professorships and chairs create opportunities for the Callier Center at UT Dallas to attract and retain distinguished professors who will enhance students' academic experiences and the reputation of the University. Endowed positions recognize outstanding faculty, acknowledge their professional standing and provide support for the conduct of scholarly work and research. Endowments exist in perpetuity and are part of the long-term capital base of the University. Earnings from the endowment are an ongoing source of support, despite fluctuations in the economy. A strong endowment allows the University to plan for the future while continuing to drive innovation and research.

The University is grateful to the individuals, corporations and foundations that support excellence through these positions. Endowed positions and the associated minimum funding level required to establish such positions are as follows:

Distinguished University Chair
$2 million
Distinguished Chair
$1 million
Distinguished Professorship

Opportunity Funds
Opportunity Funds provide the Callier Center Executive Director with critical unrestricted resources. These funds can be used to take advantage of timely opportunities, enhance programs and meet unexpected needs. Employee matching gift programs, which are offered by many companies, can be used to fulfill a pledge.

By pooling the income generated by multiple Opportunity Funds, the Executive Director may purchase new technology and equipment, provide specialized training for enhanced patient care, fund promising research projects, or supplement funding for vital treatment programs. The minimum gift level is $10,000.
