Join us for a lecture with Dr. Christine Darden, one of the four women featured in Margot Lee Shetterly's book Hidden Figures: The Story of the African American Women Who Helped Win the Space Race. Dr. Christine Darden is a retired NASA mathematician and aerospace engineer, and among the pool of inspiring "human computers" who helped launch men into space. She was also the first African American woman to be promoted to the top federal civil service rank of Senior Executive Service at Langley Research Center.
