First-Generation Celebration Day

11:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. Location: VCB Visitor Center Atrium (and adjacent outdoor area)

The Office of Undergraduate Education invites students, faculty, staff, alumni, and community supporters to participate in UT Dallas’ inaugural campus-wide First-Generation Celebration Day. Campus departments and academic programs may reserve a table to share information with first-generation student attendees during the event. Individuals may register to volunteer to support various event activities. All interested faculty, staff, alumni, and community supporters are welcome to attend to demonstrate the University’s support of first-generation students. 

First-generation student attendees will enjoy food, music, games, photo booth, resource fair, and a raffle.

This event is a collaboration between multiple campus departments, including the Office of Undergraduate Education, Auxiliary Services, Living Learning Communities, the Galerstein Gender Center, Office of Diversity and Community Engagement, the Multicultural Center, Residential Life, Office of Development and Alumni Relations, the University Career Center, Office of Admission and Enrollment, and the Office of Communications.
