The National Aeronautics and Space Administration supports a wide variety of research opportunities in biology, chemistry, physics, geosciences and engineering. The goals of the agency are elucidated every few years in a science plan and each year the community of universities, industries and small businesses is solicited to provide their best ideas for support.
Dr. Heelis will describe the NASA research infrastructure and how you can become familiar with its workings and even participate in the advisory process. He describes the various research enterprises at NASA and the process by which opportunities are made available to universities. Finally he will describe the proposal submission and evaluation process and ways to compete for these opportunities in the most effective way.
