Dr. de Frias earned her master's degree in Human Development and Family Studies at The Pennsylvania State University and her doctoral degree in Psychology (Lifespan Development and Aging) at the University of Victoria. She received a postdoctoral fellowship award from the Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR)-Institute of Aging which was held at Stockholm University/Karolinska Institute and at the University of Alberta.
My research applies a multidisciplinary approach to understanding individual differences and changes in cognitive functioning across the adult lifespan. I apply advanced multivariate and longitudinal analyses (e.g., structural equation modeling, multi-level modeling, latent growth curve modeling) to understand developmental processes in healthy aging and clinical samples.
