Guitarist to Bring His Captivating Style to Campus

Internationally known classical guitarist Carlos Pérez will bring his charismatic and creative style to UT Dallas for a performance on Friday, Nov. 5.

The concert is at 8 p.m. in Jonsson Performance Hall.  He will also teach a master class to UT Dallas guitar students during his visit.

Chilean-born Pérez has played in famous venues in more than 30 countries, including London’s Royal Festival Hall, New York’s Carnegie Hall, the Berlin Philarmonie and the Teatro Monumental in Madrid.

Russell Cleveland, chair of the UT Dallas Guitar Board, calls Pérez “one of the finest soloists before the public today.”

UT Dallas Director of Guitar Studies Enric Madriguera adds, “I am delighted to once again welcome Chilean guitarist Carlos Pérez to teach our students in a master class and perform for our Guitar Series audience during our 10th anniversary season.”
