Required Credentials for Admission Review

Applicants to a graduate program must have earned at least the equivalent of a U.S. four-year bachelor’s degree beyond the 12th grade of secondary or high school from an institution recognized by that country’s Ministry of Education. Applicants with three-year undergraduate degrees will be considered for admission into our master’s programs based on a holistic review. An overall grade point average of 3.0 (based on a 4.0 scale) or better is expected.

For admission review, applicants should upload scanned, unofficial copies of transcripts/mark sheets, diplomas, degree certificates and test scores for admission review through the online graduate application. Outside credential evaluations are not required or accepted for admission. The Office of Admission and Enrollment evaluates applicants with international academic credentials. Applicants with international academic documents will be assessed an additional foreign credential evaluation fee of $50.

Applicants applying to UT Dallas with foreign academic documents should review the reference guide for required foreign credentials by country. Note: If you have provided the required documents for your country and this is the only pending item on your to-do list, disregard this item. This item is for reference only and will not prevent your application from being reviewed.
