The Academic Bridge/Erik Jonsson School of Engineering and Computer Science Camp

The UT Dallas’ Erik Jonsson School of Engineering & Computer Science in conjunction with the Academic Bridge Program offers a five-day summer camp for high school juniors and rising seniors. Our goal is to provide students with an academically challenging and exciting environment that will give them insight into applying and attending UT Dallas.

The program offers a unique academic experience designed to give aspiring engineering and computer science students a preview of the quality of education at UT Dallas. High school students will spend a week on campus, where each day is packed with activities including:

  • Hands-on science and technology workshops
  • Computer science projects
  • Robotics lab work
  • Engineering challenges
  • Science laboratory tours
  • College preparation seminars that cover topics on financial aid, the college application process, UT Dallas scholarships , SAT preparation and college life

Participants also earn special consideration for scholarships and membership into the Academic Bridge Program when they choose to attend UT Dallas.

The annual camp will not be held Summer 2012. If you’re interested in additional information about the camp or sponsorship opportunities, please contact Dr. George Fair, dean of the School of Interdisciplinary Studies, at gwfair@utdallas.edu.
