Offices
As part of The University of Texas System, UT Dallas’ governance begins with the Board of Regents. Its nine members are appointed by the governor and confirmed by the Senate. The chancellor is the chief executive officer of the UT System and reports to the Board of Regents. The chancellor has direct line responsibility for all aspects of the UT System’s operations and is assisted by the executive officers, who oversee such areas as academic affairs, health affairs, business affairs, general counsel, governmental relations, federal relations, external relations and strategic initiatives.
The president serves as the chief executive officer of UT Dallas and holds broad authority for campus administration.
