CONNECTING TO THE SERVER IN THE MAC LAB |
From the Desktop, note the Go pulldown menu in the Finder. Select Go/Connect to Server or COMMAND K. |
Select the BROWSE button in the lower right area of the dialogue box. Locate the atec01 file server. |

CONNECT as Registered User and enter User ID and password to gain access to the server (or try Guest). |

Open your instructor's folder . If you do not see the Drop box, then: Locate the PUBLIC folder, which lies inside your instructor's folder. Open the PUBLIC folder, where you will find two folders to select from: the samples folder and the drop box (to turn in assignments)

TURN IN ASSIGNMENTS VIA DROP BOX Select the waligore folder, and locate the DROP BOX within the public folder. When you drag files into the drop box you will not be able to review them. Be sure to clearly label your folder with your name. Break the connection to ther server by dragging the globe icon to the trash. See below. |

GAIN ACCESS TO FILES FOR CLASS DEMONSTRATION VIA SAMPLES FOLDER Select the Shared folder and then locate the waligore folder. HOLD DOWN THE OPTION KEY and drag the files inside of the SAMPLES folder to your desktop to copy the files to your computer desktop. Close the folder on the networkusers folder and follow instructions below to break the connection to the server. |

When you are done transferring files, drag the icon to the trash or select the appropriate command to break the server connection. Only a limited number of students can access the server at a given time, so be sure to drag the icon to the trash to free up the server access.
