I am currently pursuing my Ph. D. in Computer Science from the Department of Computer Science at The University of Texas at Dallas in the area of Semantic Web and Cloud Computing.
Currently my research work aims at storage of a semantic representation of social networks using RDF on a Hadoop cluster and computing different SNA metrics on this representation using the MapReduce framework. Precisely, we want to study how traditional metrics can be extended for multiple link types between nodes in a RDF graph and when links are represented with confidence values. We further want to explore how these metrics can be efficiently computed when social networks evolve.
A second project involves secure data processing on a hybrid cloud. Challenges in this work include data design, query processing and data security. Solutions to these challenges are implemented as an add-on to existing public cloud infrastructures.
