Experience

    Conducting an experimental research and education program in wireless communication systems. Teaching various undergraduate and graduate courses in wireless communications/real-time DSP. Director of Wireless Information Systems Lab. and Co -director of UTD-SMU Antenna Measurement Lab.

    Taught Introduction to Wireless Communications Systems and Signaling and Coding for Wireless Communications Systems (graduate courses) which cover principle, practice, system overview of mobile systems, modulation,demodulation, coding, encoding, multiple-access techniques., and performance characterization of mobile systems. Taught Probability and Random Processes and Signals and Systems (undergraduate courses).

    Developed a new course: DSP-Based Design Project (senior design project course) trains students in digital communications systems, real-time digital signal processing algorithms, and programmable digital signal processors. Students design and build DSP-based systems in software using a digital signal processing board and tools.

    Developed theory, fast algorithms, and multi-user channel and symbol estimation algorithms for wireless communications applications. Applications include TDMA, W-CDMA, MC-CDMA, and smart antenna systems.
