I am originally from South India where there is no concept of last name. 

So last name is typically, your fathers first name and hence it is most common for 

leaving last name unexpanded. Hence, my name is V.Ramakrishnan. 

	Also, due to length of my name, "Ramakrishnan" gets abbreviated 

to "Rama" or "Ramki".
