Course Objective:

Graduate level course on operating systems, which covered fundamental issues, concepts and mechanisms involved in designing and building advanced operating systems, especially distributed operating systems.

Projects:

1. Implement the Chandy and Lamport's algorithm for capturing the consistent global        snapshot

2. Implement Juang and Venkatesan's asynchronous checkpointing and recovery        protocol
