September 2014: Dr. Stefan received a joint appointment in the Department of Bioengineering  at the University at Texas at Dallas.

August 2014: Dr. Jing Hao joined the Biology and Chemistry Department at George Fox University as an Assistant Professor of Chemistry.

July 2014: Harsha Magurudeniya defended his Ph.D. thesis entitled “Development of Novel Polymerization Catalytic Systems”.

May 2014: Dr. Stefan received the President’s Teaching Excellence Award (2013-2014) from the University of Texas at Dallas.

January 2014: Dr. Mahesh Bhatt joined Berkeley National Lab as a postdoctoral fellow in Nitash Balsara’s research group.

November 2013: Mahesh Bhatt defended his Ph.D thesis entitled "Block copolymers containing regioregular poly(3-hexylthiophene): synthesis, self-assembly, and optoelectronic properties".

September 2013: Ruvini defended her Ph.D. thesis entitled “Donor-Acceptor Copolymers for Organic Photovoltaic Applications"

September 2013: Dr. Stefan was promoted to Associate Professor with tenure.

April 2013: Dr. Stefan received a Welch grant entitled "Polythiophene Block Copolymers: A Systematic Investigation of Morphology-Optoelectronic Properties Dependence".

April 2013: Dr. Stefan received tenure and she will be promoted to Associate Professor starting with September 2013.

February 2013: Dr.Hien Nguyen has been appointed as the Director of the Center for Spectral Analysis in the Department of Chemistry at the University of Texas at Dallas.

December 2012: Dr. Jing Hao joined Dr. Siegwart's research group at UT Southwestern Medical Center as a Postdoctoral Fellow.

November 2012: Dr. Stefan gave her tenure presentation in the Department of Chemistry at the University of Texas at Dallas.

April 2012: Dr. Stefan received the Inclusive Teaching Diversity Award from the University of Texas at Dallas.

July 2011: Our NSF-MRI proposal entitled "MRI:Acquisition of a 500 MHz NMR Spectrometer for Multidisciplinary Research at the University of Texas at Dallas" has been recommended for funding by the Division of Chemistry.

January 2008: Dr. Stefan is the recipient of a research grant from Plextronics.

January 2008: Kumaranand Pallaniappan joined Dr. Stefan’s group as a Posdoctoral Fellow.  Kumar got his PhD. From Michigan Technological Institute in 2007.  Kumar’s research project was funded by Plextronics.

January 2008: Nadia Hundt and Mussie Alemseghed joined Dr. Stefan’s lab as Ph.D. students. Nadia got her MS degree from UTD under the supervision of Dr. Kenneth Balkus.  Mussie got his MS degree from UTD under the supervison of Dr. Donovan Haines.
