I’m an Assistant Professor of Philosophy and History of Ideas at the University of Texas at Dallas and Director of the Center for Values in Medicine, Science, and Technology. I received my Ph.D. in Philosophy at the University of California, San Diego (UCSD). My current research focuses on two areas: the interplay of science and values, especially in the area of the relation between science and policy, and on John Dewey's logic and philosophy of science. In addition to philosophy, my work touches on the interdisciplinary fields of science studies and cognitive science.
