Dreamweaver Tutorial 1
How to insert an image.

  1. find the image you want to insert.
  2. go to the top of the page, click on insert -> image
  3. find the image you want to insert and open it.
  4. if this image is from your computer and not the server say yes when dreamweaver asks to move it to your folder that is connected to the server.
  5. thats it!

How to create a photo gallery in Dreamweaver.

  1. Open Commands at the top of the toolbar and select Create Web Photo Album
  2. Create an album title and subtitle
    Web Photo Box
  3. In the box that opens select browse and find the source image folder where your photos will come from
  4. Choose the thumbnail size, number of columns, and the format and click ok
  5. Fireworks will launch and voila! You have a web album.
  6. Make sure to refresh and upload the files to your server and set permissions so it is viewable.

Creating a New Window from an Image

 

  1. Place the image you want to use in the document
    gebhard wedding
  2. Select the image and go to the Behaviors Panel and click the + sign
  3. Select the Open Browser Window from the pulldown menu
  4. Click Browse to find the image file
  5. Enter the height and width of the box
  6. Click ok and upload your file to the server and set permissions on the image (if this is the first time you're using it)
  7. Congrats! Clicking the image will create a pop up window with the image!

Flash Tutorial 1

Make an image into a button

 

  1. open a new flash document
  2. import the image by going File > Import > Import to stage and select the image you want
  3. right click on the image and select convert to symbol and choose button, name it and click ok
  4. double click on the button and the timeline at the bottom changes, select the down state and right click to insert a keyframe
  5. using the selection tool select the button and make it slightly smaller than the original.
  6. test the movie and save
