 | Academic interests - I'm interested in the relationships
between language and brains. Why certain parts of brain damage
impair speech production in particular manners? How people
acquire second languages? How different bilinguals'
language representations are in their brains? Why do foreign
accents remain when people learn foreign languages after certain ages?
Questions come up and go on in my mind daily... |
| Writing - I love to write. I often make PPT
presentation for children. When I need to visit children's
school as a "story teller", computerized presentations are always
well-accepted. See one of my PPT stories.

| Cooking - Cooking is a "must" duty as a mother.
Although I can't spend too much time for cooking, I love to surprise
my family with innovative recipes. I'm usually careful with fat
and sugar intake. However, I cook rich food for special
occasions! Good cooking gives me a "job security" as a
homemaker... |
| Reading - I love to read.
Although I used to like novels, I grew to enjoy reading journals and
books in the field of my academic interest. I can spend all day
long reading about languages, brains, speech production/perception and
bilingualism. |
| Exercise - I work out regularly as much as
I can. I used to enjoy modern dance, tap dance and aerobic
exercise. Now, I love jogging, machine exercise, swimming and
playing tennis. |
| Volunteer works - I have been a volunteer
for a Tejas Girl Scout Troop and Grace Bible Church Children's
ministry. I love children and participate in their developing
lives. |
