Let me introduce some web sites I
visit regularly. I love
to surf the webs, or "googling around". However, I come back to the
following sites occasionally to keep me updated. They are three of my
professors' web sites and two of children's science sites. Hope you'll
enjoy visiting them as much as I do.
 | Dr. William F.
Katz' Speech Production Lab
 | Dr. Katz is an expert in speech production. He often
comes up with unique research ideas in the fields of neurolinguistics
and speech production.
He uses interesting tools for his study including Carstens'
Articulograph that measures tongue movements in speech. He is a
reliable professor who always provides great advice when I feel lost
or stack in my study. I'm so
fortunate to be a member of his lab. |

 | Dr. Peter
Assmann's Speech Perception Lab
 | Dr. Assmann is a specialist in the field of speech perception.
In addition to his research work, he writes MATLAB scripts for
speech analysis. His enthusiasm makes complicated study of
signal processing and acoustic analysis very interesting.

 | Dr. Alice
O'Toole's Face Recognition Lab
 | Dr. O'Toole's field of research is face recognition. She
also teaches "Cognitive Science". Before I took her class in
the Fall of 2001, my plan was to find a job after I finish my
master's degree. However, I grew to be more interested in
brains and mind through her lectures. She helped me building
good study habit through weekly quizzes... |

Neuroscience for Kids
 | Through interesting games and attractive animations, this site
skillfully introduces neuroscience for children. I hope the
number of this type of web sites increases so that children will be
more hooked onto science, instead of repetitive Nintendo games.

 | Ontario
Science Centre -- SciZone
 | This site is fun for children and adults. SciZone covers
many fields of sciences and I can spend hours surfing in this site.
