I am an Orphan I've not slept in days. The shadows are closing all around me.

I keep dreaming of Brandi and Bridget. The Corroner says that Brandi was

drinking. That she and Bridget were driving intoxicated. I remember seeing

Brandi. She looked fine to me. Now i can't find Brandi's Diary. Richard is out of

town on some mission. He's not been the same since they died. I need to talk to them. I need to

hide my note book. I don't know who to tell. I used to tell Brandi everything. I need to

tell Richard. I hope he comes back soon that I found out something about Amber's Parents?

Powers

Blade Summon

Champion's powers come directly from the soulbound sword Diamantine,which he summons to his hand by raising his hand above his head, and calling out 'Kai Diamantine.' The blade then appears in his hand. Energy Blast Rick Champion has the ability to hurl a bolt of energy capable of penetrating the armour on a modern battle tank, from the blade Diamantine. This can be hurled once every ten minutes, up to 100 metres, or more often if the blade absorbs energy hurled at Champion between blasts. Blade Portal Using Diamantine, and the magic of the blade, Rick can slice open teleportation portals in the air, to any location he has seen before with his own eyes. This ability can only be used once every twenty minutes, and the portal remains open only five seconds, or less, if Rick chooses to close it right behind him, rather than allowing others to pass through it.

Magic Detection

The Blade Diamantine glows brightly in the presence of anything magical Energy Absorbtion The blade diamantine absorbs energy from it's surrounding, be it magickal or of some other origins. Due to this if an energy attack is blocked usingthe blade Diamantine, it is reduced neatly by a third. This also recharges the blade should it need iot for an energy blast. Soulbound Sword

The Blade Diamantine can not be stolen from Champion, and unless he willingly allows a person to touch it, then they would be struck by an energy blast fromt he sword, sufficient to throw them five metres backwards regardless of physical size or strength, but not badly hurt them.

Skills-Occult knowledge

For a great many years Champion has been a student of the occult, learning everything he can about it, no matter how obscure the mythology. As a result of his studies, he has a knowledge of the occult rivalling anyone else alive, though he can not use any magic save that bound within the blade Diamantine..

Because of this he can recognise anything connectedwith the occult in some way on sight, normally for what it is. Blademaster Upon acquiring the blade Diamantine it transferred knowledge of sword fighting techniques to Champion's mind, and over the years he has put this knowledge to great use.. exhibiting a level of skill with the blade that would normally only be possible after decades of practice.. Putting him on an approximate skill level in close combat with the likes of Wolverine, but only when using a sword-type weapon.

Motorcycling

Champion has learned through attrition how to use a motorcycle, and is licensed to own and ride on on his own. He is however by no means a professional in the use of it. Champion is a skilled swimmer, something he was taught to do as a child, and he can quite readily swim up to five miles, in the sea, before needing to rest

Cooking

Living on his own, Rick Champion has learned to cook fairly well. He is not about to starve because of lack of knowledge. Survival Rick was educated in a school in a rural environment, and part of his educational syllabus was how to survive out in the wilds. Flaws-Vulnerability Rick champion is exceptionally vulnerable to any form of gas attack, due to him having sensitive lungs. He suffers double the effect of any gas attack used against him. Hunted Over the years, Rick Champion has made some very powerful indeed supernatural enemies, who constantly send their minions to attempt to kill him.. It's only a matter of time until they come after him themselves Protective of Innocents Perhaps his most damning flaw, Rick Champion is unable to stand by while innocents are hurt, he will do whatever he can to save them from harm, including putting himself in life-threatening danger, heedless of how dire the consequences could be for him to do so.
