Description:
Joseph is a handsome young man with a broad smile and a chisled chin. He keeps his brown hair pulled back, letting the length vary from the top of his neck to a ponytail down past his shoulder blades.
BACKGROUND
Joseph Trehorn was born on Earth in 2550. He grew up in Northern Scotland, on the edges of the London-Berlin urban sprawl. Though he was a bright young man, he had always been more interested in the "mindless" activites of sport and carousing with his mates. Even though he practiced hard to become a star rugby player and popular student in secondary school, he never put the same energy into his studies. After school, he decided to enlist in the Imperial Army so he could see the galaxy and visit Imperial planets he had only heard of.

JT spent 7 years in an Imperial Army infantry regiment (3rd Corps, 2nd Army, Army Group E) and was honorably discharged in 2575 with the rank of corporal. He was a good soldier, serving both on the front lines and later as an attache to Major General Christian Nolan at division HQ. JT never objected to working hard and following his orders, but he had wanted to see the whole galaxy and instead he became a staff bureaucrat, in charge of imperial paperwork.

After leaving the army, JT found work as a Adamant planetary police officer on the fronteir of space. He didn't have enough money to travel the galaxy on his own, but on Adamant he could see people from all over the Empire and beyond. In his 5 years as a cop on Adamant, he saw Ackalians, Mon'dabi, Thorgons, a few Zurites and even a Xenevore (from a distance) on one occasion. Still, this wasn't enough so JT earned (and bought) his private investigators license and he began to travel the sector around Adamant carrying out all sorts of bounties: finding people, objects, artifacts, even a whole space station.

JT's big break came in 2580 when he earned one of the largest bounty rewards ever offered. While investigating the abduction of a rich merchant's daughter on Adamant, he found a recorded transmission that implicated a major underworld boss, Paolo Monti, who was hiding on a moon in an unpopulated system near Fexao. The 50,000 credits made JT rich enough that he has spent several months travelling from system to system, finally exploring the Terran Empire worlds.

It is now 2581 and Joseph Trehorn has arrived at the Space Port on Cerebus III. This is not a tourist spot, to be sure, but it is a stepping stone to many sites in this sector and maybe even some outside the borders of the Empire.
PERSONALITY
Joseph is a man who excels when he puts his mind to a task, whether that task is tracking down a wanted criminal or scoring the winning touchdown in a rugby match. He grew up in peaceful, suburban Scotland with a yearning to see more of the galaxy and meet aliens of every species. He thought he could serve Earth and see the galaxy both by enlisting in the Imperial Army, but he never wanted to be an Army bureaucrat. Now, with his recent wealth, he has finally realized his dream of touring the galaxy. He knows the money won't last forever, but he is going to enjoy the ride as long as he can.
