Grading will be based on data collection and analysis as recorded in field lab notebooks for each topic listed in the syllabus. Make sure you have a notebook that makes duplicate pages (e.g. carbon-less copies), or that you can photocopy your lab write up to be turn in for grading.
Students who miss the field portion of a lab can make up the lab using their group's data and/or data on this website. A maximum grade of 80% is allowed on makeup labs. Students missing more than one of the first five labs will be assessed a full letter grade penalty for each additional missed lab (i.e. if you fail to attend two of the first five labs, your maximum grade in the class will be "B").40% - Introductory Material
