Uses for a tampon # 412 ...

Ideal for siphoning petrol from a tank.

Take one length of hose, say three feet long.

Take one length of thin wire, say four feet long.

Attach tampon string to wire, and thread wire through hose.

Insert 'tampon' end of hose into petrol tank, and pull wire/tampon
through hose.  This will create sufficient vacuum to start the petrol
flowing, without the traditional mouthful of petrol.

Yes, it does work.
