General Information

Distance education, the new classroom setting, offers courses taught online via the internet through Global MBA or UT TeleCampus.

The School of Management gives students the opportunity to complete their MBA degree either completely online or through a combination of online courses and traditional on-campus courses. Cources available through the Global MBA Online program are listed usin a 'G' in the section number - for example, OPRE6302.0G1. The University of Texas System offers numerous online courses through a program called UT TeleCampus. Most of the University of Texas at Dallas internet courses are offered within this program.  UT TeleCampus courses are indicated by a 'T' in the middle of the section number. UT TeleCampus provides many services that help students succeed in the online environment: a digital library, free online tutorial services, 24/7 technical support, and registration and course access support. TeleCampus - Teacher Education Registration Instructions

Enrollment in Teacher Education courses is open to all students who are preparing for or employed in professional education. Registration information is available in the UT TeleCampus website.


TeleCampus - Chess Registration Instructions

Enrollment in these courses is open to those persons interested in chess in schools. ALL interested students must initiate enrollment ONLY through Michele Dunavin in GR 2.240. Contact her by e-mail:dunavin@utdallas.edu or by telephone: 972-883-2057.


Global MBA Registration Instructions

Send an email to gmbaadvising@utdallas.edu, from your current and preferred email address, with the following information:

  • first and last name
  • UTD ID
  • course or courses for which you want to register
  • day time phone number

The priority registration for core online MBA courses is given to online MBA students. Registration requests from any other graduate majors within the School of Management will be placed on a waiting list until the first day of regular registration. For specific questions, please contact GMBA advising office at gmbaadvising@utdallas.edu or call 972-883-2750.

Most of the Global MBA Online courses are available via WebCT. However, the UT TeleCampus also offers a few of the Global MBA courses through the TeleCampus course site. As explained earlier, these courses are identified with a 'T' in the section number. If you are enrolled in one of these courses, please see the UT TeleCampus instructions below.

For additional information about the Global MBA courses, including book ordering online, start and finish dates, previous syllabus etc., refer to Courses section of Global MBA website.

To Login to your UT TeleCampus course for the first time:

  • Start at the UT TeleCampus website
  • Click on the "Course Login" button in the dark green band at the top of any page of the UT TeleCampus website. Click on "Get Started" next to "New to the TeleCampus?" on the top of the page. Follow the instructions in the order in which they appear.
  • Also, it is important for you to keep your student profile up-to-date with UT TeleCampus, especially your email address. To update your profile, login to the UT TeleCampus Information System (TIS) by following the TIS login instructions.

To Login to WebCT:

  • Log in to Galaxy
  • Log in using your NetID and password. Your NetID is the set of letters followed by a string of numbers that was assigned to you to access the UTD information systems including the university portal and WebCT.
