Dr. Ron Briggs, head of the GIS program, is graduating to professor emeritus after 31 years with the University. Colleagues paid tribute to Briggs at a June 27 luncheon and served him a meal of his favorite foods: Brussels sprouts, baby carrots, pancakes, Heinz beans and marmite.</description>
